Team 2539 2019 Season Brief:
The Krypton Cougars 2539 competed at the FIRST World’s Championship in Detroit Michigan April 24th to 27th. The ending of this competition marked the end of our season, and we now progress into the off-season.
Team 2539 would like to thank it's gracious sponsors for all their support and funding this season. To debrief our journey, our Team set off our season by performing as the #1 Qualifier and the #1 Alliance Captain at both of our FMA District events held in the Philadelphia area earlier in March. Competing at the Mid-Atlantic District Championship at Lehigh University in early April, we finished 21st out of 128 teams in the District to qualify to compete at the FIRST World Championships in Detroit Michigan where 408 of the top FRC teams in the world competed in 6 divisions. Our Team was placed in arguably one of the most skillful and strenuous divisions, the Archimedes Division.
Qualifying 5th out of 68 teams in the Archimedes Division, the Krypton Cougars became the #4 Alliance Captain, but we sadly lost eventually in the playoffs to the division champion, and World’s finalist. Our Team though certainly did not leave with a conscious feeling of loss or defeat. We felt a strong sense of accomplishment and joy. We performed exceptionally well at all of our competitions, and shattered records from how we placed in the past.
Concluding our best season in our 12-year history with a record of 41-16-3, our Team and the rest Krypton Cougar’s community are looking forward to the off-season. In this period, we take part in many community events, perform sponsor demos, and compete in off-seasons competitions where new members and mentors are encouraged and urged to join Team 2539 and learn about the world of FIRST Robotics.
We ask our sponsors to continue their generous sponsorship, and to continue to support and invest in our student’s futures in the STEM fields of the world. This is just the beginning of our journey to impact the world, and inspire the leaders of tomorrow’s new innovations.
