Business
FIRST doesn't just prepare students for the STEM field. It prepares to launch students into jobs similar to ambassadors, marketing supervisors, and accountants.
Team 2539 is a non-profit organization that strives on the graciousness of our sponsors. We not only teach, but put students in charge of collecting the funds. Our team's goal is to create a business plan and budget sheet that organizes our funding between robot parts, events/registration, and other costs.

Teams also present a chairman's award that demonstrates how we encourage and spread the importance of STEM education through the community, and help out in the community in general. The Business & Outreach Team creates the video and the presentation, along with interviews. They also take part in the social media aspect of FIRST, and help promote Team 2539 events and robots.
At competitions, their role is to present their team in a good fashion, and speak to judges about their role in the community, past successes, and future goals.

Our Mission
FIRST stands for "For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology", and teaches students modern STEM skills that include but are not limited to: Engineering/design, programming, CAD, fabrication, and electrical. But most importantly, it teaches students self-confidence, teamwork, leadership, and "Gracious Professionalism". FIRST has over 6000 Teams that compete at competitions across the world, and prepares each dedicated member for a successful career after high school.
For Everyone
Our Team never rests at just teaching the curious and ambitious students about STEM, but stretches far as we can reach around us. Want to find an event, or have an idea for the Krypton Cougars? Tell us about it!
For the CommunityThe Krypton Cougars performs at multiple community events to make the community more aware of the importance of STEM. This includes community parades and events, such as the annual Palmyra Holiday Parade, or the popular Food Truck Trek event (shown to the right). These sorts of events are very helpful for recruitment, making our team well known, and providing opportunities to further STEM education.

For SponsersOur Team also demonstrates for our sponsors. We will visit their location, and explain how their funding and support has fueled our mission to change the world around us. This includes taking our robots and explaining its features, presenting information about our season, and exploring what our sponsor does for work.
