The Krypton Cougars went to Hatboro-Horsham as the team's second district event. The team rose early to get to Horsham, PA the minute the door opened. Even though the team would admit they were very tired, it was a good day. The 2018 Hatboro-Horsham event took place on March 29th to March 31st. The team had a packed day ahead of them, containing a lot of twists and turns. 
The team then competed in the 43rd match, resulting in a close victory, but nevertheless, a victory, The Blue Alliance, consisting of Team 2539, Team 5490, and Team 1391 put up an outstanding fight, enough to beat the Red Alliance, 296 to 259. The 48th match was even closer for the Krypton Cougars, winning by just 7 points! The 51st match was also another positive match, ending 304 to 239. The 57th match went excellent for the Krypton Cougars, winning the match by 242 points, doubling the opposing alliance's score! The final match was a very close loss, ending the team's winning streak. The Qualification matches began poorly, with the Krypton Cougars losing the first two matches. 
​The first match the team played was lost 279 to 404. The team was on the Red Alliance, along with Team 5401 and Team 2559, going against Team 1143, Team 708, and Team 5181. In the second match Team 2539 lost by 201 points. This match could've gone better, but they accepted that what was done was done, and they needed to move on. The Krypton Cougars then pulled through to win their next match by 111 points! The team was allied with Team 5401 and Team 2590. The next Qualification match they had was the 17th match, and the Krypton Cougars lost by 105 points, the smallest difference yet. The 5th match of the Krypton Cougars was a very challenging match. The team lost 156 to 423, which was probably one of the worst matches they had to deal with. Team 2539 lost the 29th match, their 6th match, ending with about half of the other alliance's score. The team then went up a challenging alliance, consisting of Team 1640, Team 5490, and Team 1807. The Blue Alliance put up a good fight, but could not beat the Red Alliance, and ended up with another loss on their plate. 
The Krypton Cougars did not last too much longer after the qualifications sadly. They were picked for the last alliance, yet lost the first two matches they played. They were allied with Team 203 and Team 5401. They competed hard and well, especially in the second match. They ended the first match 480 to 177. The team then got their game together for the second match, but still lost, 455-303.  
The team ranked 23rd in the qualification matches, and finished with a 5-9 win loss rate. The team also received the Judges Award, which awarded the team 5 points. This was a very helpful bonus that helped the team get to regionals. Team 2539 earned 10 qualification match points, 8 alliance points, and then the 5 award points. The Krypton Cougars left with 23 points, and a judges award, so the team was not too disappointed with their performance, and were proud to say that they competed in the 2018 Hatboro-Horsham event. The next competition for the Krypton Cougars would be the FMA Regionals Competition.
