FIRST Championship Detroit 2019
Competing at the Mid-Atlantic District Championship at Lehigh University in early April, Team 2539 finished 21st out of 128 teams in the District to qualify to compete at the FIRST World Championships in Detroit Michigan where 408 of the top FRC teams in the world competed in 6 divisions. The Team was placed in arguably one of the most skillful and strenuous divisions, the Archimedes Division.
Qualifying 5th out of 68 teams in the Archimedes Division, the Krypton Cougars became the #4 Alliance Captain, but sadly lost eventually in the playoffs to the division champion, and World’s finalist. The Team though certainly did not leave with a conscious feeling of loss or defeat. The Cougars felt a strong sense of accomplishment and success, which is one of the primary goals and objectives of FIRST. They had performed exceptionally well at all of their competitions, and broke records from how they placed in the past. |
Concluding Team 2539's best season in their 12-year history with a record-shattering win-loss ratio of 41-16-3, the Team and the rest of the Krypton Cougar’s community are looking forward to an amazing off-season.
