The Krypton Cougars went to multiple offseason competitions in the 2018 season. The team's third offseason competition was Duel on the Delaware. It was a challenging competition, but the Krypton Cougars proved to be one of the best teams there throughout the day. The team ended the qualifications ranking 3rd, and with smiles on their faces. They powered through the quarterfinals, and then had an excellent performance in the semifinals. 
The Krypton Cougars had an excellent performance in the qualification matches at Duel On The Delaware. The first match they competed in was the 5th, allying with Team 384 (Sparky) and winning the match 347 to 184. The Krypton Cougars carried this mojo over to their next match, which was the 9th qualification match. Team 2539 won the match, teaming up with Team 1640 (Sa-BOT-Age) and Team 1218 (Vulcan Robotics). The alliance faced Team 365 (MOE) and Team 384 (Sparky). This match was very exciting, and Team 2539 and their alliance roved victorious, winning with a score of 398 to 286. The Krypton Cougar's next match was very close, but Team 2539 emerged as the winner once again, finishing the 18th match with a score of 355 to 353! The next match the Krypton Cougars took part in ended their winning streak, losing 275 to 335. Team 2539 did not lose confidence because of this one loss however. They powered through their next match, winning with their future alliance partner, Team 816 (Anomaly), and settling a score with Team 1218 (Vulcan Robotics). They won the 20th match with a score of 356 to 323. This match put an end to the Krypton Cougar's qualifying matches, leaving them with a win loss ratio of 4 to 1!

Team 2539 earned the position as 3rd alliance captain, and picked Team 303 (T.E.S.T Team). After all the alliances chose their first picks, and the lower alliance picked their 3rd pick, Team 2539 picked Team 816 (Anomaly). The 3rd Alliance breezed through their quarterfinal matches, winning the first quarterfinal match 476 to 179, and the second match 414 to 224, The alliance they faced was ranked as the 6th, and led by Team 271 (Mechanical Marauders). The Krypton Cougars and their alliance proceeded to the semifinals, facing the 2nd alliance, led by Team 1218 (Vulcan Robotics). Team 2539 lost the first match 383 to 188, but did not give up. They continued onto the second match against this alliance, winning 374 to 278! Because of this victory, Team 2539 continued onto a tiebreaker match. Although they put up an outstanding fight, Team 2539 lost 282 to 321. Team 2539 did not leave Duel On The Delaware empty-handed however. They took home the Outstanding Pit Award, because of their neat and nice pit. The Krypton Cougars would surely conclude this offseason competition as a success, even if they did not win.
